TSA body scanner?! Four Finger pat down?! Why are you so surprised that we are stripped off our privacy at the airport? It shouldn't be a surprise or a shock. But don't we all want to be safe from terrorists' threats and live another day to tell about it? I do. But that means we should be ready and willing to give up whatever to be safe. Right?
We, Americans, want to believe and to keep our country as if it is the best country in the world to live in where everyone lives happily ever after. If that was the case, we wouldn't need police, politicians and ultimately the government. That's not the case. Is it my fellow Americans? We are so hell bent on the fact that Islamic radicals are waging war against us and the world but don't realize that we've had few homegrown terrorists ourselves on our own soil.
- Timothy McVeigh was the right wing Christian who bombed the FBI Building in Oklahoma City.
- The Unabomber Ted Kaczynski - The Unabomber
- Clayton Waagner Clayton Waagner - Anti Abortion Terrorism
- Eric Rudolph is another anti-abortion terrorist, who pleaded guilty for bombing the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
- Robert Goldstein is a Jewish podiatrist. He plotted to bomb Islamic mosques, Islamic centers and Islamic schools with his wife.
- William Krar and Judith Bruey planned to use cyanide to poison thousands of people. He was dubbed The American Taliban after his arrest.
- Army of God encourages killing doctors and nurses providing abortion, and burning their clinics.
- George Metesky also known as The Mad Bomber, planted a bomb in a theatre in 1956, and attributed that to the "Hand of God'.
- William Ayers - Obama close friend if you will.
In my opinion, all Americans are bunch of cry babies living in the moment of the Internet era for instant fame and gratification. We want everything in life for little or no effort and live the "American Dream." We, truly, are living in a different era.
So, how do you tell who is or is not a terrorist? Well, as far as I know, there is no simple answer or solution to weeding out the terrorist from the good guys other than good old pat down. Terrorists come in all shapes, sizes and colors. If a guy can sneak a bomb into an airplane by hiding it in his underwear band, what does that say about terrorists. Yea, they are persistent and always looking for new ways to kill you, me and the world. So, if we want freedom and to live peacefully, we need to give up something to achieve that high standard of expectation. Sure, TSA pat you down and touching in places they shouldn't be, but who is it to say that terrorists won't stuff his or her "JUNK" with explosives especially when they are willingly ready to die for their religious belief. What would you rather want to have - your Life or Privacy? Or which is more important your LIFE or PRIVACY?
If I were you, I would definitely say LIFE. Privacy? What is privacy these days? In truth, there is none. As soon as you leave your house, you are pretty much on camera and someone is monitoring your every move. "How" you say. Just two words - GPS (Global Positioning System) and surveillance cameras. Well, there are more surveillance cameras out there today than a decade ago. Plus, almost everyone has cellphone and 99.99% of the cellphones out there today have new technologies installed on them all the time - one of them is GPS. Most of the cellphone users don't realize that they even have GPS feature in their cellphone and a lot of them don't even know how or don't care to turn it off. If the law enforcement wants to know your every move, all they need is your cellphone number. All this and I didn't even mention anything about computer. Who thinks they are invisible behind their computer while on the Internet? If you said, "I." Then, I suggest you turn your computer off and go watch, Shara Palin Reality TV Show on TLC. Maybe that will teach you a thing or two about being "Soccer Mom" or "Maverick." (LOL). We are under surveillance like never before. So, in truth, we don't really have privacy except in your bathroom and your living room. Everywhere else we are videotaped by the surveillance cameras. Heck, a lot of companies have their own cameras in their buildings. How do you think there are a lots of work place surveillance videos on www.youtube.com. Think about it.
So, four finger pat down and body scanner is the right thing to do, if we all want to be safe and safe for our children.
